Waves crash as Roy comes from the sea to land
He rises over cliffs to see if he can stand
On the shore he now owns, where he flies and swims and eats
He has webbed feet and sits in a parliamentary seat,
a real leader of our times
He prefers solitude and autonomy,
over instances of stupidity
He is father to all birdlife,
And reads the paper in a lounge chair
So give it up for Roy ... (Roy!)
Roy the Renegade Seagull
Lightning hits, disaster spawns,
The edge of the sea he must protect
He says with a Politicians' stance,
"You are one of my tribe, I'll protect you"
From all the Planes in the sky that rob us of our space
How dare they travel, familiar faces,
Humans flying without grace
Like going down a spooky hallway, bearing a disguise
And not wanting to see what is in front of their eyes
So give it up for Roy ... (Roy!)
